The widely used packages are PDM(Product data management) and PLM ( Product lifecycle management ). PDM can transform all the files from different resources to paperless files for storing the data server. Hence, It would lessen the redundant versions files and time for searching a right file increase the productivity .  With the addition of project management , PLM display project status, Gantt charts ,APQP, financial and vice versa .Moreover, the updated files from project contributor would automatically sync to server. Thus, this would reduce the time to prepare the meeting in every week and human errors
